As part of the New York Rangers and Madison Square Garden Company’s ongoing commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community and improving diversity and inclusion in hockey, the Rangers will be celebrating Pride Night, presented by Delta Air Lines, on Monday, January 24 against the Los Angeles Kings at 7:00 p.m. at Madison Square Garden.
The first 10,000 fans in attendance Monday night will receive a Delta Pride-themed tote bag.
By hosting their sixth annual Pride Night, Rangers will create an opportunity for fans to celebrate and embrace members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community.
The Rangers will partner with members of the LGBTQ+ community for various parts of the evening, including the national anthem and the ceremonial face-off. Rangers players will wear personalized warm-up shirts and tape their sticks with rainbow tape.
Pride jerseys and warm-up sticks will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the Covenant House & Garden of Dreams Foundation. The auction will begin on January 24 and end at 9 p.m. ET on January 30. The auction will take place on https://auctions.nhl.com/NewYorkRangers. Covenant House New York is a non-profit organization founded in 1972, whose primary goal is to address youth homelessness by providing resources for mental health issues, education, employment and life skills training. Thirty percent of New York residents of Covenant House identify as LGBTQ+.
Additionally, Rangers personnel and MSG Network personalities will wear Pride-specific pins.
