Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Charlotte FC’s opener:

Bank of America Stadium will also host Charlotte FC. The stadium underwent a year-long renovation that cost around $50 million in anticipation of the move.

Who is the manager of Charlotte FC?

Miguel Ángel Ramírez joined Charlotte FC in July.

The 36-year-old comes from Spain to Charlotte, and he previously coached Independiente del Valle, a club in Ecuador’s top Serie A league, and Brazilian side Internacional. He was also a youth academy coach in Spain, Greece and Qatar.

Roster of Charlotte FC

The expansion team roster is still building up, Ramírez told reporters in early February.

“Of course we have to strengthen the squad,” Ramírez said. “We need something else to be more competitive.”

The current roster features 24 players from international backgrounds as well as players recruited from colleges as close as Clemson.
